I had a interview yesterday from a local radio station (550 am) and was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to talk about my case. I feel so frustrated sometimes that I want to scream. In all my years as an attorney, I never thought I would see a court just push aside a legal document on very little evidence. My ex signed the document. He even admitted to signing it. He admitted to not reading it. How is that my problem? I read it. The court obviously didn't read it either because they said in their decision that he could change his mind at any time. THAT'S NOT WHAT THE DOCUMENT SAID. In fact, there was a specific paragraph saying that it could only be changed by mutual consent. Also, why have an agreement if you can change your mind at any time? That's just nonsensical. And yet it happened. The only thing I know is that we have a society where if you choose to terminate life, your rights are protected, but if you choose to keep life, you have NO rights. There is something really wrong and unjust about that, no matter where you stand.
